Avantwerk Legal AI is not a generic AI tool with a legal skin bolted on. It is built by people who do the work, for the people who do the work — shaped around how a firm actually runs a matter, not around a demo. And by a company, not a funding round. Here is who we are and why we built it this way.
Avantwerk is the product brand of Bennovate sp. z o.o., a limited company operating since 2016. Legal AI is one product in the family.
We are not a venture-funded startup. No investor clock, no pressure to grow at any cost, no plan to sell your data to make the numbers work. The company answers to its customers and to the standard the work has to meet — nothing else.
The first-pass, rule-bound work — drafting, intake, due diligence, citation checks — is where a fee-earner's day disappears. It is also the work an AI can take to a reviewable draft in minutes. So we built the tool that folds that day into an hour and hands the evenings back.
But we refused one trade: upload your privileged client file to someone else's server. A tool that processes the matter remotely has to receive it first, so that is not a feature gap — it is an architecture. We built ours the other way from the first line: the matter stays on the lawyer's machine, and a check runs before anything reaches an AI.
The populated demo runs a fictional matter through the whole thing in minutes — no card, no commitment.
