2. Regulatory status — not an SRA-regulated firm

Bennovate spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością is not an authorised firm of solicitors. It is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and is not on the SRA's register of authorised firms. It is not a practising barrister, authorised person, licensed conveyancer, or regulated legal services provider within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007.

Avantwerk Legal AI is a software product, not a legal service. It assists SRA-regulated law firms in carrying out their own legal work. It does not provide legal advice, draft documents for submission in proceedings without human review, or accept instructions from end-clients of law firms.

All legal outputs generated by the Service are drafts that must be reviewed, edited and authorised by a qualified, SRA-admitted solicitor or other appropriately authorised legal professional before use. Bennovate does not employ or engage solicitors to review outputs on behalf of law-firm customers.

Bennovate is not subject to the SRA Principles, the SRA Code of Conduct, or SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules in its capacity as software operator. The responsibility for compliance with those obligations rests with the Customer firm and the relevant fee-earners.

5. Intellectual property

1. All rights in the Avantwerk and Avantwerk Legal AI brand — including copyright in content, software, graphics, templates and databases — belong to Bennovate sp. z o.o. unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2. Use of content on legal.avantwerk.co.uk is permitted only to the extent allowed by law, in particular the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
3. Reproduction, distribution or modification of site content without Bennovate's prior written consent is prohibited.

6. Disclaimer of liability

The Avantwerk Legal AI service provides software tools to assist qualified legal professionals. It does not provide legal services.

Bennovate does not accept liability for:

1. any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs that have not been reviewed and verified by a qualified, SRA-admitted solicitor;
2. any legal citation, statutory reference or case-law summary produced by the Service that has not been independently verified against primary sources (legislation.gov.uk; BAILII; official law reports);
3. any failure to meet a court deadline, limitation period, or professional obligation where the Customer has failed to exercise independent professional judgment;
4. any loss arising from the Customer's failure to apply a human-in-the-loop review to AI-assisted outputs before use;
5. any loss arising from third-party services (including the Customer's chosen AI Provider accessed via the BYOK mechanism), which are outside Bennovate's infrastructure and control.

Bennovate's liability to the Customer is governed by the Terms of Service, which include limitations and exclusions consistent with the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

legal.avantwerk.co.uk may contain links to third-party websites. Bennovate sp. z o.o. has no control over the content of those sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, privacy practices or availability.

8. Governing law

This Legal Notice and any legal documents published at legal.avantwerk.co.uk are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
